Big and Bold, Hot and Cold to feature at the RDS Primary Science Fair Limerick

The RDS Primary Science Fair @ MIC is being held in Mary Immaculate College on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday the 21st of January 2017.

The fair is moving froma two day to a three day event to offer a bigger opportunity for 160 schools and 160 classes to exhibit in 2017.

Laurie applied for an RDS (Royal Dublin Society) bursary to develop and deliver educational STEM content at the Limerick Primary Science Fair in January and was awarded €1,400. Laurie will also deliver this over 3 days in January at the RDS Primary Science Fair.

Along with the exhibition of the schools STEM projects, the programme of events also includes a wide range of shows, workshops and interactive stands repeated right throughout the day.

For example some of the shows include 'Biodiversity in the Garden’ ‘Fantastic Physics’, ‘Junior Einstein’s Science’ shows plus a wide variety of workshops: ‘Exploring Materials’, ‘My Favorite Whale’, ‘Playground Science’, ‘What Happens Next?’, ‘The Design & Make Shop’, ‘Drumming’.

Science Foundation Ireland and SSPC Phd student, Laurie Ryan based in the University of Limerick will present a show over the three days called ‘Big and Bold, Hot and Cold’, ‘

Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children): €15
Single Admission Ticket - Child: €3
Single Admission Ticket - Adult: €8

Opening Hours of the Limerick Fair
The Fair will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm each day for visitors, with last admission at approximately 1.30pm.
All shows and workshops will take place each day at 10am, 11am, 12.30pm with the last beginning at 1.30pm.
