SSPC partners to share insights on continuous manufacturing and flow chemistry from CM2017

Mark Barrett, APC and Joe Hannon, Scale-up Systems will share insights on continuous manufacturing / flow chemistry from CM2017, - the 2 day workshop held in Ireland in February. The workshop was organised and supported by Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre in association with AIChE, IDA, IChemE, IEI, ISPE, PMTC and SFI.

The Bernal Process Engineering Laboratory, uniquely hosts three international leading research centres based in the University of Limerick, the Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre (SSPC), The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre (PMTC) and The Dairy Processing Technology Centre (DPTC). The Bernal Process Engineering Laboratory is the largest process engineering research group in Ireland.

Taoiseach announces transatlantic collaboration to provide entrepreneurship training for SFI researchers

SSPC Scientific Director, Prof. Kieran Hodnett recently attended an event during the St Patrick's Day celebrations in Washington, where An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, announced a new Science Foundation Ireland cross-Atlantic collaboration with the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) programme, that will see 20 Irish-based researchers benefit from entrepreneurial training in America.

Congratulations to Dr. Leila Tabrizi, an Iranian national, who has received funding for a 24 months project in the area of medicinal chemistry in the group of Dr. A. Erxleben, an SFI-approved Funded Investigator at NUI Galway under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.
