Pharmaceutical Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland Forum - May 2010

The Pharmachemical Ireland (PCI) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Forum was held recently on 27th May 2010 at the School of Pharmacy, University College Cork. PCI and SFI came together to showcase to the Irish pharmachemical industry the exciting research that is being carried out across the academic centres of excellence, that are funded under SFI.

An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan TD, launched the world's first Best Practice web portal, BPX.ie, on the 6th of November last at the Materials & Surface Science Institute.

Minister Conor Lenihan addresses SSPC joint Q2 Technical meeting with IDDN - 2009

The second quarterly technical meeting of the SSPC in 2009 was jointly hosted in UCD with the Irish Drug delivery Network (IDDN) Cluster. The IDDN Cluster is a network of scientists led by David Brayden, Professor of Drug Delivery at UCD, advancing research efforts to replace injections with oral and inhaled versions of biotech molecules (e.g. proteins and gene-based medicines).
