Dr Albadarin received a B.S. degree in Analytical Chemistry and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Queen’s University Belfast in 2012.
Dr Albadarin is a lecturer in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering within the Chemical Sciences Departement at the University of Limerick.
Dr Albadarin is a Senior Researcher in the Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre (SSPC) at the University of Limerick. He is also the PI on the SFI Starting Investigators Research Grant for 2015 and the Co-PI on the MOMEnTUM spokes project.
He has been active in the area of granulation and coating of pharmaceuticals and organic fertilizers; the development of new materials and technologies for the generation and stabilisation of active pharmaceutical ingredients. His current research involves the study of the preparation of oral solid dosage manufacturing technology: monitoring of product and process quality.
Has published more than 75 scientific papers since 2011 – current h index based on the citation by scientific articles/reports and thesis is 21 with more than 1500 citations. Since 2011: Scopus Author ID: 36679849200
Through the University of Limerick, Dr Albadarin has filed 5 invention disclosures in areas of pharmaceutical and chemical processing (Enterprise Ireland: 2016-UL-034-I, 2016-UL-035-I, 2016-UL-036-I, 2016-UL-037-I).
He has spun-out a company, iP2 “innovative particle processing” www.ipprocess.com (reg. no: 603730), as an engineering consultancy company specialising in providing particle engineering solutions across pharmaceutical, med tech and food processing sectors, both nationally and internationally.
