Qualifications: 

Completed a BSc in Food Science & Technology and PhD in the area of Food Microbiology at the University of Limerick. Has worked mainly in the area of cellular and molecular biology, focussing on protein-protein interaction, protein purification and crystallisation. Her current role is in the Chemical & Environmental department at the University of Limerick as a member of the SSPC, working on Bioavailing of Antimicrobial Resources, an SFI funded project. This project will aim to improve the bioavailability of novel antimicrobial compounds in addition to improving their stability and dissolution.
