SSPC PhD Programme
As part of their Future Leadership Program for Pharmacists in Product Supply, he will be assigned to manufacturing sites in Finland and Switzerland as well as to headquarter functions in Berlin and Leverkusen. The objective of the global program is to give participants a broad overview of the scope of activities and responsibilities of Product Supply and to serve as a launch platform into a managerial role within Bayer.
PhD Overview: Vincent completed his PhD in 2013 at Trinity College Dublin. The thesis explored the hypothesis that through appropriate choice of excipient the formation of disordered drug could be minimised. This is advantageous for clinical outcomes as well as for drug processing and stability issues.
Dissemination of Research: During his time with the SSPC, Vincent presented his research at conferences in Singapore, Nottingham, Belfast, Chicago and Istanbul in addition to having his results published in peer reviewed journals of high international standard.
Awards: 2010 Best podium presentation at APS - Amorphous III Conference, Nottingham, UK (joint award), The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Great Britain.
Industry Placement: Vincent completed a 3 month placement at Bristol Myers Squibb at their manufacturing site in Swords.
