Biography

Donal Killackey is the SSPC Funding Manager, Donal holds a Batchelor’s degree in Materials & Production Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Limerick. He worked for 26 years in the semiconductor industry in a variety of positions ranging from Applications Engineering/Customer Support, New Product Development, Product-line Marketing to Business Unit Management. He has spent several years in the Field interfacing directly with customers in the telecommunications, industrial equipment, automotive sub-systems, laboratory and medical instrumentation sectors. He joined the SSPC in April 2017 as Funding Manager, focused primarily on exploiting the array of international research funding programmes for the SSPC research community.
