Biography
Eoin is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway. He completed his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of St. Andrews. Following postdoctoral work with Prof. Philippe
Renaud at the University of Bern, Switzerland and Prof. Benjamin Davis at the University of Oxford, UK, he started his independent academic career in Trinity College Dublin in 2008.
He is currently Associate Professor of Organic and Medicinal Chemistry and a PI in the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute. He was elected Fellow of Trinity College Dublin in 2016 and was an SFI Career Development Award (CDA) recipient in 2016. He leads an international research team in Trinity College with a focus on the discovery of novel methods for biomolecular synthesis, including peptides, proteins and glycoconjugates and the development of novel therapeutics, diagnostics and biomaterials. He is co-founder and CSO of Glycome Biopharma, a biotech start-up company based in Trinity College.
