Led by Prof. Eric Munson from Purdue University, this course provides learners with a basic understanding of NMR spectroscopy, with a focus on how the technique is applied in the solid state. There will be a strong application-based section of the course that highlights how the technique can be used to solve problems related to pharmaceuticals, though all applications will be discussed. Numerous case examples, often derived from ongoing research in the instructors’ laboratories/companies, will be presented.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand the basics of NMR spectroscopy, especially as it is applied in the solid state.
- Demonstrate the ability to design solid-state NMR experiments to solve pharmaceutical and other problem
- Critique current solid-state NMR papers related to pharmaceuticals
