ChromWatch is an innovative platform that provides real-time pH, concentration, conductivity data for biopharmaceutical buffer solutions. It has been specifically designed to address bottlenecks in downstream manufacturing such as those associated with large scale pH adjustments. ChromWatch transforms a labour-intensive, two-hour procedure into a rapid, two-minute automated analysis. The technology comprises a low-field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) device, proprietary algorithms, and a consumable sampling device, enabling real-time buffer analysis.
Extensive trials and engagements with industry leaders like J&J have highlighted the need for ChromWatch’s real-time analysis capabilities, with Johnson & Johnson being actively involved in trials of the beta version. Feedback from these companies, as well as VC investors, has confirmed strong demand for a solution that releases this capacity constraint in downstream processing. ChromWatch addresses a pressing need for efficient, scalable production methods, creating a significant market opportunity in a growing market
Key advantages include reduced batch cycle time, improved process control, regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11), and easy integration with existing workflows. Two patents have been filed, and the team plans to file more to protect this innovative approach.
